Hailing from the hollers of southern Indiana, Stephen Wilson Jr. has taken a winding path to his musical career, making stops as a Golden Gloves boxing finalist, scientist, and indie rock band member before finding his voice as a solo artist. His genre-defying debut double album, søn of dad, released one year ago, cemented him as a force in country and Americana music. The 22-song collection, dedicated to his late father, received widespread critical acclaim, earning accolades from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Whiskey Riff, Wide Open Country, and many more. It was named the Best Album of 2023 by Holler and All Country News, and hailed by Rolling Stone as “the most existential release of the year.” Stephen’s poignant songwriting and gritty vocals are paired with a live-show energy that has captivated audiences across the country. In 2023 and 2024, Wilson Jr. performed on some of the most revered stages in music, making debuts at the Grand Ole Opry, Stagecoach, CMA Fest, Ryman Auditorium, and Red Rocks. Rittz
Please join us for Rittz on Wednesday, October 30th in The Pub Station Taproom. Rittz A crown is earned, not given, and with two Gold Certified singles, twelve albums, and countlesstours around the nation, Rittz has claimed his right to “put a crown on it”. Traversing the ever-changing landscape of independent hip hop, Rittz’s career boasts a legacythat includes a spot amongst Tech N9ne’s Strange Music alumni. The endeavor produced fourBillboard-charting albums and a touring regiment that he carries to this day. In that period oftime, Rittz broke through to the worldwide spotlight with an appearance in the highly-covetedBET Hip Hop Awards Cypher. Following his departure from the label, the Gwinnett County native embraced the undertaking ofa fully independent career with the creation of his own imprint, CNT Records. The long-awaited solo venture gave way to seven releases under the CNT banner, and saw Rittz return to the Billboard charts in 2019 with the full-length album, Put A Crown On It. Influenced by his admiration for down-south production and laid-back melodies, 2023’s MellowLOvationMusic found Rittz adding to the essence that has enveloped his music for years. The album was supported by its lead single, “Who” featuring Project Pat, and a 46-city national tour. In a testament to Rittz’s ability to elevate himself among the best in hip hop, he soon found himself with two RIAA Gold Certified singles: “Switch Lanes” featuring Mike Posner, and “In My Zone” featuring Mike Posner and B.o.B. “Since I was a kid, having a gold plaque on the wall has been a goal of mine. Now I have one. The fans, who have supported me and my music, made my dreams come true!”, exclaims Rittz. The accomplishment that eludes so many artists validates a career built on perseverance and a dedication to the craft of lyricism. Without a breath to waste, Rittz’s aptly named Back For More Tour looks to keep the emcee in the conversation of an ever-evolving industry. For most, it’s enough to put an exclamation point on things – for Rittz, it’s only right to put a crown on it. Etix is the ONLY authorized ticketing agent outside of the Pub Station box office. The Local Honeys
Please join us for The Local Honeys on Thursday, September 26th in The Pub Station Taproom. Though many artists are defined by place, only a handful of artists come to define the places they’re from. The Local Honeys are Kentucky and Kentucky runs through their veins like an unbridled racehorse. When a master songsmith like Tom T Hall calls an artist “a great credit to a wonderful Kentucky tradition” it’s time to pull up a chair and pay attention. As it pertains to The Local Honeys he was right on the money. For almost a decade the duo (Montana Hobbs and Linda Jean Stokley) have been an integral part of the Kentucky musicscape. They’ve paid their dues, garnering countless accolades and accomplishments (tours with Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, praise from the New York Times) and have become the defining sound of real deal, honest-to-god Kentucky music. With their self-titled debut on La Honda Records, (home of some of today’s most gifted songwriters; Colter Wall, Riddy Arman, Vincent Neil Emerson) the duo have set forth on a journey to create something true to themselves while pushing the envelope within the traditions they hold dear. Carefully crafted vignettes of rural Kentucky soar above layers of deep grooves and rich tones masterfully curated by longtime mentor Jesse Wells, Grammy nominated producer and musician (Assistant Director at the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music at Morehead State). “Jesse grew up with sisters. He was cut from the same cloth as us and we knew he would understand what we wanted to do.” What they ended up with is the most nuanced, moody, deep-holler sound they have captured to date. “This is the first time we’ve actively gotten to express who we are and where we’re from” says Linda Jean, “The songs on the album speak for us,” adds Montana “they’re about what we know, reflections of us as people. We realized we have the power to add our own narrative into Kentucky music.” Through that realization the two were able to uncover and dissect themes unique to Central Appalachia and in turn their own lives, capturing small moments in time that deliver thunderous results. The Local Honeys come from a long line of storytellers, a lineage of strong Kentucky women that aren’t afraid to tell it like it is and their self-titled La Honda debut is proof it’s in their bones. The duo have mastered the art of telling a good story. The narratives and landscapes they weave into song, the deep understanding and love they share for old time traditions, their undeniable charisma and charm, and their blatant disregard to follow the rules make it clear the duo is poised to become not only the defining voices of their home state of Kentucky but the defining voices of a new Appalachia. Ricky Montgomery – The Rick Tour: One Rick to Rule Them All (with Gilda House)
Please join us for Ricky Montgomery with special guest Gilda House! Music always lures Ricky Montgomery back. He blames the internet. First a devotee of the Vine underground, and now—nearly a decade and several jobs later—an unexpected hitmaker, the Los Angeles native has spent the last few years trying to reconcile with his artist self. He recently surpassed 1 billion global streams thanks to Platinum indie-pop hits “Mr. Loverman” and “Line Without a Hook.” But those songs, written when he was a teen, have come to feel like they were by a whole other person—at least to Ricky. In 2023, we get to meet Rick, a sophomore set that comes seven years later, rich with electro-laced, emo-tinged alt-pop that spins stories about life in all its messy and mundane glory. Ricky’s journey fits the bill: a childhood in L.A. interrupted by divorce, an adolescence playing in the basement bands of suburban Missouri, a viral explosion on a soon-to-implode platform, and a brief music career back on the West Coast that sent his songs up the Rock and Alternative charts. That was in 2014, before life intervened and he quit music for good… until the world discovered his sunny, sardonic songs. With millions of social followers and a string of sold-out tours under his belt, Ricky now sets out to document “my long, awkward path toward remembering myself as an artist,” he says. “It’s been embarrassing and difficult, but also thrilling. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted to do but was too scared to try.” Ricky Montgomery VIP: Purchase early entry VIP TICKETS here OR upgrade your GA-STANDING ticket with a VIP MEET & GREET UPGRADE at the checkout page. BabyJake with Will Swinton
Please join us for BabyJake with special guest Will Swinton on October 29th at The Pub Station Taproom. BABYJAKE: Florida-born Jake Herring, known professionally as BabyJake, may have appeared to be an overnight success, but his journey to the spotlight was anything but instantaneous. His hit single Cigarettes on Patios took off in 2019, garnering 200M+ streams and earning him a certified gold record and a major label deal. He would release two albums from the same vine, until the upheaval of the pandemic saw him splitting with his label and at a pivotal turning point. But giving up was never an option for Jake, and his resilience set him on a new path: an ascetic journey to rediscover himself, shedding his shag haircut in favor of a buzzcut, naked skin marked by the tattoos he collected along his journey. He found the answer on his upcoming album Beautiful Blue Collar Boy, a bouquet of songs rooted in the beauties and hardships of day to day life. Drawing influence from the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Tweedy, BabyJake stays true to his north star of confident storytelling and songwriting. On Beautiful Blue Collar Boy, Jake trades in the late night parties for the simplicity of authenticity, hard work, and a meaningful life to come home to. This chapter of BabyJake reveals a man stripped down to his American roots, with each song painting a small vignette of BabyJake’s blue collar dreams. Now planted in Nashville, TN, Jake returns to us as a Beautiful Blue Collar Boy. Etix is the ONLY authorized ticketing agent outside of the Pub Station box office.
